A National liver conference was held at GGHC, Chennai on the 25th of January 2020. The theme was "Basic and Advanced Liver Intensive Care: Newer Opportunities for Nurses". Dr. Dileep Kumar, the President of the Indian Nursing Council was the Guest of Honour. The programme was initiated to mark the year of nurses and midwives. Plenary sessions on Liver transplant from the basics to advanced Liver monitoring and care of critically ill transplant patients were the topics of discussion. There was also a Panel discussion that was chaired by Dr. Jothi Clara Michael, Dr. Balaji. Skillathon was held in the Afternoon, with Wet Lab as a method of learning. 280 Delegates from all over the country participated and were benefitted by the conference.
