Mumbai, February 12th, 2018: Global Hospitals, a multi super specialty tertiary care hospital recently conducted one of its kind Walkathon on February 11th, 2018. A well renowned Nephrologist, Dr Bharat Shah, commenced and flagged off the prestigious challenge with due participation of his patients from all age groups to promote Organ donation and spreading awareness on its significance. This walk served as a springboard for the patients who’ve recovered to come out of their shells.
Mumbai's Shivaji Park saw all grins and sweat as more than 30 individuals took an interest in the primary version of this walkathon on Sunday. The highlight of this walk was the competitive spirit that all the patients from different age groups exhibited.
Dr Bharat Shah, Nephrologist, Global Hospitals, said, “The intention of starting of this walkathon was to create a buzz about health, fitness and the importance of organ donation. There is something about walking that makes it addictive and commands attention; we would focus on maintaining this consistency and to take up inspiration for some regular physical activity.”
