Make sure to empty your bladder every time you urinate. Incomplete urination sends urine back to the bladder and makes it a breeding ground for bacteria.
Never hold your urine in the bladder for too long. Heed the call of nature and urinate when you first feel the urge. If you leave it for later, there will be increased growth of bacteria apart from pain in lower abdomen due to pressure build-up.
Wipe / wash the private parts properly after attending call of nature. Clean the urethra immediately after sex by urinating.
Avoid carbonated beverages and caffeine as much as you can and replenish your system with healthy drinks like fruit juice or normal water.
Douching not only washes out the bad-smelling vaginal bacteria but it also washes out good bacteria, disrupting the natural balance in your vagina and allowing more bad bacteria to grow.

Cystectomy is a surgical procedure for the removal of urinary bladder. It is commonly performed to treat bladder cancer. Cystectomy is a complex procedure and surgeons may use different techniques to perform it. Open surgery, robotic surgery, urinary conduit, orthotopic continent urinary diversion etc are a few common techniques used to treat bladder cancer.
The type of cystectomy and reconstruction one undergoes depends on various factors, such as the reason for the surgery, overall health etc. If the bladder is removed completely, surgeons work to reconstruct the urinary tract in order to allow urine to leave your body.
Pyeloplasty is a surgical reconstruction of renal pelvis to drain out the waste material from the kidney. It is commonly performed to treat an uretero-pelvic junction obstruction. There are different types of pyeloplasty depending on the surgical technique and patterns of incision used. The dismembered type of pyeloplasty, called an Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty is the most common type of pyeloplasty. A pyeloplasty can either be done by the robotic, open, or laparoscopic route.
Perineal prostatectomy is an effective and tolerable treatment for the prostate cancer. It has certain advantages over other treatment options like shorter hospital stay, lower cost and speedy recovery because of which, it is still the most sorted type of treatment for the prostate cancer even in the era of robotic assisted surgery.
Perineal prostatectomy is performed by making a small incision between the scrotum and the rectum. The instruments necessary for dissecting the prostate gland and the seminal vesicles are inserted into the incision. A high-powered telescopic lens with a camera is also placed at the site for a better visualization of the surgical site. After the separation of the prostate and the seminal vesicles from the bladder, rectum and urethra, it is removed and sent for the laboratory for pathological observation. The surgery takes approximately 4 hours for completion.
